In the bank line, while driving, in a grocery or retail store, at the beach, in a restaurant, at the mall, in the library...it never ends! And it's not like they're talking about anything. Why not read a book, magazine or something? Or maybe have a live individual WITH you instead of on the phone? I don't get it, but I enjoy a little disconnection now and then. Does it bother you?

I don't get it either. I mean what is so important to talk about while doind other things. Is every call that necessary? I use my cell phone only rarely like when I'm trying to find a particular place or trying to meet up with someone. I think people are addicted to being connected all the time.

It's so disrespectful. I was at the zoo and this woman was on her cell phone the whole time and just let her little brats run all over the place. I also hate when they stand in the frozen food section completely still and talk on their phone blocking you from getting something. It's a CELL PHONE!! You are able to walk and talk at the same time!

It bothers me to no end. My hubby does that. He does not care where he is, he talks! I hate it.

I will stand outside the building until I am done with my phone call. If I get a call in the store/resturaunt/ etc. I will not answer it.

I think it is RUDE!!

Hang the hell up! I do not care about your conversation and I do NOT want to hear it!!

Funny how this question popped up....last week my son and I were totally amazed (and amused) when on a long bus journey (over an hour)...the girl in the seat in front was on her phone CONSTANTLY from before we got on and still rabbiting when we got off!! WOW! what a lot of money she must spend on calls!!....it was funny coz she'd be talking to one person....telling them to hang on while she spoke to another call coming in....telling them to wait - she'll call back....and so she continued!

in answer to your question tho...yeah it can be annoying in some places when people are not giving their full attention to what they should be doing coz they're chatting on the phone at the same time.
As for driving...it is now illegal here in the UK to drive AND talk on your mobile as your concentration isn't fully on the driving (what I dont get tho is that it is still allowed if you have hands free or bluetooth.....you're still distracted even if your hands are free!)

no it only bothers me when they stand in line and instead of telling the cashier what they want they are talking and holding up the line. when that happens to me, I just say next person. and take care of them.

It's very rude and self centered. People can hang up long enough to buy some gas.
