This is the man who said:

"If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being."

"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!"

"AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals."

"The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country."

"Grown men should not be having sex with prostitutes unless they are married to them."

What are my feelings? Thankful.

Whose Jerry Falwell?

As my dear grandmother used to say:

"That man may well make it to heaven, but he'll be really suprised at some of the company he'll be keeping when he gets there."

I genuinely hope that God is more understanding to Jerry than Jerry was to people who disagreed with him.

Scratch another intolerant hate monger off the list, maybe if enough people like him kick the bucket we can have aworld where we can all get along peacfully and accept each other. My thoughts are oh well, hopefully he felt a lot of pain as he went like the pain he caused for so many others.

I just hope we dont have to to see his fat bloated face on tv, he really was irrelevant over the past few years.

I do know this... Falwell's death will bring the worst out of liberals. Can't wait to watch themselves look more like the rabid beasts they already are. I hope they keep it up. Maybe a conservative will indeed win the White House in 2008 after this feeding frenzy is over.

Can't say I'll miss him. I hope that his brand of bigotry will subside a bit as a result of his passing.

And I pray for his soul to find peace ('cause God teaches me to love my enemies and pray for them).

The same as hearing about anyone else's death. He was a person, just like the rest of us.....hardly worthy of a "special newsbrief"!!!!

He always seemed fat and generally unhealthy to me. That blubber neck and all that anger. It is no surprise he kicked it.

What will be really weird is if it turns out to be a drug overdose from drugs he got from his gay masseuse.
