Jon ... In such extreme cases as this, I tend to think it's not a liberal/conservative issue. I'd venture to say that if someone expressed joy over the death of Rev. Falwell, I'd conclude that one or more of the following apply:
• The individual is a sub-teen (or adult with a sub-teen mentality) with post-traumatic stress disorder, perhaps from being abused by adult family members
• The person has a serious self-esteem problem and conveniently tries to "dismiss" others by finding a reason to say he hates them
• The person was not well-reared and grew (not matured) in an environment lacking normal social order
• The individual does not function well as a contributing member of his environment and those who oppose him as well as authority figures are victims of his hatred.

I could also think of some sarcastic-sounding explanations, but I'll summarize my thoughts by simply saying that such individuals are genuinely sick to some degree. However, this does NOT mean I feel any sense of sympathy for them having such a sickness. Because they "function" on a day-to-day basis, it's easy to overlook that such hate-filled individuals are really sick.

There's a couple reasons:

1) Jerry Falwell was domestic terrorist, not at all far removed from Mullah Dadullah. He abused his position as a religious leader for political and monetary gain, and led people far from the path of Christianity.

2) They actually believe that Jerry Falwell is dead. The information about the other guy came from the Whitehouse, which has been historically deceptive on matters where terrorism is concerned.

It's the typical hatred of Christians. Falwell contributed in a lot of positive ways. I guess they hate that.

I was gonna ask a similar question, seeing all the stupid questions being asked about Falwell. Some people make me sick.

You anticipate all liberals have fun ones loss of life. One could seem at what Falwell did to combine faith and politics. One reason I left the GOP (Gods in basic terms social gathering) became into the influnce supply to Jerry Falwell interior the GOP. the ethical minority attempting to bind its impact upon the familiar public.

And what does it say about conservatives when they are unable (or unwilling) to recognize the similarities between Falwell and Dadullah? Both of them are in Hell, good riddance.

Because the irony of it all is that Falwell's now BURNING in hell from his whole life preaching hatred.

Spare us this crap. That someone would ask something like this says more about the conservative mindset than it does about liberals.
