I don't know what the song is about, but I liked it (I am a Peter Gabriel fan) I am mostly into Christian contemporary music now so in addition to Red Rain, and Purple Rain (my past music likes) I am partial to these songs,
Healing Rain, Mathew Ward
Grace Like Rain, Todd Agnue (i think)
many songs of faith these days describe the Spirit of God as decending on us like rain. to be honest it is quite comforting, a true rainy day will chill you to the bone, but when the Holy Spirit rains down on you, waves of warmth and joy and peace flood over you.
