Hey i own a red eared slider and this turtle looks a lot like a florida cooter thats what i think it is the pattern on the side of shell and face are excactly the same and aswell top of shell so try and search that and see.

yours look like eastern painted turtles. here is a link to show how much of a variation the shell can be from one turtle to the next.

the dont look like painted turtles because painted usually have a redish spot near their eyes.

im not sure what you have. it has ben a while sence i have owned a turtle or ben to my grandparents cottage to see the ones there.

may be it is a painted turtle of some sort... you see what you have me doing. i dont know what to think
