It could be missing the clad layer on one side. On the other hand it could be environmental damage caused by mishandling or someone fooled with it. You need to take it to a coin dealer or two and see what they say. I can't help, nor can anyone else without seeing it either in a scan, photo, or in person. well i think that someone may have did that them self but if u want to know take it to a pawnshop or a jewlwer those type of people should know
