On September 6, 2000, Austin married Debra Marshall. However, on June 15, 2002, police were called to their residence in San Antonio, Texas. They found a hysterical Debra with bruises and a bloody nose. Austin had left the house and was asked by police not to return. On August 14, 2002, Austin was arrested and charged with domestic abuse. He pled no contest on November 25, 2002 and was given a year's probation, a $1,000 fine and ordered to carry out eighty hours of community service.
Austin filed for divorce from Debra on July 22, 2002 , and the couple were legally divorced in 2003.

He did get arrested a while back for domestic violence, but I don't know if he is actually a woman beater. ( I hope not) He assaulted his then wife. Go to www.tmz.com click on mugshots and then look in the sports section and it has his name it will tell you all the info made available. There has been alot of wrestlers arrested. The Big Show, Booker T, Brock Lesnar, Lex Luger,etc..... Check it out.

yeah i think so.. oneday my mommy was watching the news wit my grandma and it said up next a stone cold steve austin story and they said he is but then he says its a lie but by lookin at his temper and stuff i have a hard time beleaving him....

What you heard is correct. He did go to jail for beating Debra and was convicted of it. He received probation for one year and one of the conditions of his probation was that he couldn't drink beer for one year.
