because of the bs report that came out by the NY times said that white refs were more likely to call fouls on black players and black refs were more likely to call fouls on white players.
No players or coaches agree with this and the report was a load of crap and it should just be ignored.

The scientific study you are talking about took into consideration that there are more black players than white players in the NBA. The study said they call slightly more fouls on the AVERAGE black player than the AVERAGE white player. I'm positive the study didn't say the referees were racist. To me, racist means you passionately believe one race is better than the other. We have such a hard time discussing race in this country. Many studies have shown that even non-racist, non discriminating people (I mean that they don't conciously discriminate against other races) have negative subconcious associations for black people and positive subconcious assocations forwhite people. That's not racist, but it is important. It doesn't mean we should picket a "racist" NBA but it might actually merit some intelligent discussion about it.

No of course not einstein. The NBA has a huge percentage of white employees. From owners and sport writers - to the guy who sells me my hot dog. The TEA party is viewed as a racist organization because of the emotional level of hatred they have demonstrated against a man in his first week in office. Hell even during the campaign. Obviously Republicans as a rule slander and resent democrats but with Obama the level of desperate abandon made it obvious there was emotional baggage being checked in with the outrage. Besides I could care less about the TEA party. They are a bunch of thieves who stole Ron Paul's movement, recycled it for Sean Hannitty's book tour and then hijacked it as GOP property. They are a bunch of racist, uneducated, swift boating, GOP worshipping, corporate lapdogs. They spit on the Constitution and any American institution they even slightly disagree with. They are just receiving back exactly what they are putting out there. If they want respect - they need to learn respect.

I haven't heard anybody except the people who did the research say they believe this. All the players that were interviewed said it was pure garbage. Players admitted to gripping about refs and their calls, but they don't believe it has anything to do with race.
That research was a pure waste of time.

I totally agree with you. There are many, many more A-A in the sport of b-ball than whites. So really, everytime a foul is called on the minority, the white guy, THAT makes it racist!

DUDE, in the NBA there are more black dudes playing than white dudes, so that wouldn't even be fair to say, the odds are that would happen simply because there are more black guys playing.
common since would tell u that,
