If you know where to look there are some very good pieces of software which extract all usefull information out of the ie cache, eg. every single hotmail account and passwords, Credit card info, everything typed into an online form. The encryption on a website protects the information being sent over the internet not on the local machine.
Please note I know most of this because over the years i have worked in some really dead end jobs.
If its your own accounts, cant really help there you could try meditation to recall that infamous password you created one night when you were drunk.
