People that tell you not to make generalizations and then later they call conservatives rednecks.

The racism double standard is by far the most obnoxious, overplayed, and most of all untrue of them all. Joe Biden has made racist comments on several occasions, and Robert Byrd is a member of the Klan for Christ's sake! But that's all ok. Bush wants to let in all the illegals (which I disagree with) and has promoted more minorities in his administration than any other president EVER..... but OH he's a Republican, so he's racist according to all the left wing loonies. And the fact that Hillary Rodham spent some time defending the violent actions of some Black Panthers after failing every bar exam except Arkansas' does not make her "enlightened."

It's ridiculous, and it insults my intelligence every time I hear it. Unfortunately, many people are either brainwashed or not at all intelligent because they are falling for this propoganda.

The U.S has been committed to the protection of specific personal political, religious and other freedoms. It has sheltered many political refugees and has been a final destination of many immigrants from around the world. It has a powerful and often independent judiciary and a constitution that attempts in many areas to enforce separation of powers to prevent tyranny.

Violation of freedoms and human rights are still routinely noted, particularly in the criminal justice system and where national security has been of particular concern. A significant degree of government mass surveillance and invasion of privacy was instigated covertly by the NSA, ruled unlawful in 2006. Politically, the United States has also attained a perception amongst a wide range of friendly and hostile countries, that it is complicit in supporting serious human rights abuses (including torture, abduction, assasination, and imprisonment without trial) as well as covert operations to overrthrow foreign governments, individuals and parties.

I absolutely am abhorred at the news media for protecting criminals like the Clinton's and soft soaping their image in an attempt to get her in the white house.
This is a great travesty of justice------the great abyss that exists in the way the media reports and does not report to further the socialistic agenda.

Dems who cry about Republicans being to invasive in out life by their "morality laws" against certain sexual behavior, then the Dems try to illegalize smoking & transfats & create programs that are highly invasive to our pocket book (through taxes.)

Likewise, the Republicans claiming to be in favor of "small goverments" but getting their claws into our personal life with "morality laws." (Not to mention the "conservatives" like Bush who are anything but fiscal conservative!)

That is why I'm more of a libertarian.

But I am a registered Republican & will vote in the primaries to try to get a fiscally conservative Republican in office. Ron Paul sounds good so far. But it's to early to tell.

When the Libs protest war, just because a Conservative tries to protect the country, but don't, when a Liberal goes to war, without cause.

Bush went to war in Afghanistan, and now, Iraq.

Clinton went to war with Haiti.

See the difference? HAITI! LMAO!

I hate that our social security plans suck that we have to pay for, but that government officals don't have to pay into it. And they still get wonderful retirement plans and pensions that we have to pay for. Seem crooked to you????

Probably the "Clinton lied about sex in the White House" is bad, "Bush lied about why we went to war" ok double standard.

The fact that mr. bush or mr cheney have absolutely no combat experience yet think they have a clue about what war is about. They can send people to war but they didn't have the sack to go!
