I cannot believe that the press has not said a word about this. I do understand that it might come off as an insensitive and heartless thing to say as their beautiful daughter is now suffering from their stupidity, but shouldnt this be addressed??
It is beyond me how 2 doctors with money to afford childcare could do this.
Other people have to pay the consequences of their bad decisions that hurt and kill others - why should they be exempt from this?

Some people are saying that these parents just made a mistake...As a parent you NEVER make a "mistake" such as this. There are just some things as a parent you never do. No good parent would EVER do anything close to this, and if that angers some - then they must be the type of person who would be stupid enough to do the same thing.
I dont care how much these parents are suffering - their suffering does not come close to what that child has, or is suffering. A parents first responsiblity is to PROTECT their child. They should have their other 2 children taken away for making such a horrible CHOICE as they made.

I just heard that in Portugal, parents can be charged and arrested if they knowingly put their children in danger. Hopefully that will be addressed.

I completely agree with you. I'm also disgusted by the coverage of this story. Children go missing everyday that have parents that did everything in their power to protect them and those kids remain nameless and faceless to most of us.

These people left 3 children unattended to go have a good time and there is no mention anywhere that the two year olds have been removed from their custody after they probably have gotten one killed. Sad

I completely agree. I know it's not good to judge others but come on! I mean, it's hard to feel sympathy for her parents when they show such disregard in the first place. Don't leave your kids alone...it's that simple. The only person I feel sorry for here is Madeline.

No way on earth should that mean these parents deserve what happened...I agree it was a bad decesion on their part, but NO parent deserves for their child to be abducted!!

Stupidity, ignorance, selfishness - take your choice. They should face criminal charges.

You're absolutely right! It's like they asked for it. Who knows, maybe even set it up.
