Sticky situation...My housemate provides daycare in her home for 8, sometimes more children (infants and toddlers) by herself. She has NO license to provide this care and more often than not, she has difficulty providing each of the children with quality care. As a mother myself, I have to say that sometimes the care given is questionable. Her income from this is incredible- over $1,000/wk. I rent a room there with my daughter and can no longer ignore the situation. What do I do?

tell her to stop breaking the law and to only provide care for the number she can legally provide for, if any, and if she does nothing report her to the authorities

I would make notes and take pictures in case you need them in the future. I would also talk to her and tell her she needs to get help or she needs to cut some of the kids. Talk to the parents of the kids and also find a new place to live, because it might get kind of sticky! If after you tell her and the parents your concerns and nothing is done about it, then call the child service, make sure you have proof of your concerns and not words. Good luck

Since the children are not being cared for properly you should report it yes. I would first off, let the parents know about your concerns so they know what is going on with their children. You will also need to find a new place to live.
