i see alot of people discussing football in this forum but do any of you actaully play it? and if so for who?

Yep. I play left winger. I play with the school team here right now but before I moved here I was on the travelling team, the the competitive girls squad in Brasil.
I really miss my old team :( But my new team is cool too! (But no one can compare to the cariocas :( ).
I get to go back this summer for a tournament back in Rio (de Janeiro). I'll take part of a tournament with my old team.. my coach asked me if I could come back and I will be going for it!
And if it's important (lol) I was the top scorer in my league during my last year! Woot... it was insane, I loved it...
Btw, defence is great! Why do you say "unfortunately"? It takes a lot to be a defender :)

I used to play but that was 10 years ago when i was young and in shape. I have been watching for much longer and thank God for the internet because European footbball was almost impossible to watch and follow in the States. I hate the MLS. I'm talking real football with bigger than life stars. You can't beat watching a game in front of 60,000 fans singing in unison.

I used to about 2 1/2 years ago but I had to temporarily stop due to injury and getting deployed to Iraq. I want to get back to playing again but I need to get myself back into shape for it and saddly I just don't have time to play anything other than pick-up games. Someday when things settle down I'll be able to play for a team in a league again.

I'm in a semi pro team.
We get sponorship every year and allowance for 1 match.
I played as a defender/midfielder

I used to play, but never at a high level, and now I coach a high school team--the Trevor Browne Bruins.

I play Striker, or Attcking Mid, i used to play more Mid but have found that i prefer to be a striker.

I used to play in HS....
Then dislocated my ankle playing basketball....
I play pick up games when I can, but have no time for organized play....maybe one day...
