Funny you should ask that. I was in one of my favotite watering holes back in 1997 which featured karoke. About 10 years prior to that when I used to go to church, before the drinking started, I used to sing solos in Church & help with the music, on guitar. So, this night, my drinking buddy dared me to sing at this club. I was told you got a free pitcher of beer after you sang, so that sealed it. Up I got and put my name on the list. On the list was a hymn I used to sing, so I did that. It was , " I'd Rather Have Jesus". Well, you could have heard a pin drop. When I was done and went to the bar to get my pitcher of beer, the bar tender said, "What are you doing in this place?'" I asked why. He said , " Because you belong in Church, that song had several people crying, and some said they needed to go home and think ". That was a real experience.

yes. my ONE and only time doing karoke - I was blasted and my friend signed me up (without telling me) to sing "Break on Through" by The Doors; when they called me I almost said "screw that" but I had enough shots in me so I said "what the hell" and went for it. At least he picked a decent song.

It was only a result of heavy consumption that I got up there on two separate occasions and sang a song by Cold Play. Don't remember what it's called.

Yes, and I sing like a frog. I did a duet with a guy. An old song by Conway Twitty called "Don't Cry Joni". What a horrid memory, lol.
