What is their ideal team. I say
Marcus camby
Llamar Odom
S.Marion
Kobe Bryant
Derrick Fisher

Not this that this team can be assembled but I think they need to try to get a similar makeup to succeed.

They have a curse similar to the "Curse of the Bambino" for trading Shaq. They should have learned from Orlando that not resigning Shaq is not a good idea. Look what they've done since. The Lakers will not be good until they get a viable big man. That won't happen until Kobe is well beyond his prime for a couple of reasons. Number 1 they Lakers aren't going to be bad enough with Kobe to ever get a top 10 overall pick in the draft. Number 2 with the limitations on salaries compared to when they signed Shaq as a free agent they aren't going to be able to get a great center without giving up a lot.

I ship Odom out, the potential is definitely there, but he'll never live up to it. If you get Kobe to actually play within the triangle offense then the big men they have are sufficient. He needs a point, preferably one who can shoot. i don't know where you find one that's available but a chauncey billups type, u know big, good shooter, good defender. Luke walton is a good 3. Ball handler, shooter, just knows the game. You need a rebounder which is why camby would be a good fit, with kwame, bynum, and turiaf. Get rid of cook, smush, and whoever else is on the bench (minus farmar) and find some vets who can help out. They just gotta get Kobe to stick with one thing. You can't play team ball for half a season then put up 50 for the rest of it, its not gonna work.

Well they need a big man for starters but there mmain focus should be on is extending there bench to. But there Ideal team is
KG (Which they can get next year)\
Lamar Odom
Tayshaun
Kobe
Chris Paul

And the reason I would pick Shaun Marion because he would have to have so many touches and Tayshaun really dont and he is not consistant but good pick

I like the addition of Camby, but he'd play best opposite someone who's really physical in the low post. That way, he'd be able to come off his man and block shots.

Marion might not be much help, in terms of the big picture.

They definitely need a point guard, and Fisher is a good guy. I'd prefer to see them get someone younger and faster, but he's certainly an option.

he just needs a good post player which he can pass the ball to. lamar and luke walton are going to be free agents this summer, which opens up new roster spots. lamar should be replaced with a good post player while luke by a good point guard, not necessarily kidd or nash, but someone who can create plays

They need to build the team around Phil Jackson, not Kobe. They need to give Tex Winter the green light to put Kobe on his lap and show him who his daddy is! DUMP KOBE NOW ITS THE ONLY WAY!!!

I actually think Kobe is a ball hog. He does not help the team like people thinks. Since that rape case...he DID rape her....they have sucked ...big time.

They need a dominant center that can rebound, play D, tip in loose balls and block shots.
