You can always beat them. It depends on how bad you want to win thats all. If you aren't worried about collateral damage there lots of options. Read The Art of War by Sun Tzu or The Book of 5 Rings by Miyamoto Musashi.

If variety is truely the spice of life? then why not just be you and let them be as they are? People are just people, different yet the same.. it can be a learning experience for the both of you in observing and communicating with others who are not similar minded!

try to join them, if you cant beat them you are just going to feel like a dork and fell that much worse just join them becuase you know you cant win. but you can at least try to win.

If in my battle to beat them, I end up liking them, then definitely! But if during my quest to beat them, they just piss me off, I run far, far away from them! =)

Yes, of course - in their eyes ! Best way to topple an enemy? Get close to them. Win their trust. Then when you are close, they trust you. And are most vulnerable.
Choose to strike when appropriate lol
Sounds evil, but it depends what they've done and why you dislike them!
