I see all pros and no cons. Being a woman isn't going to change the way the duties of the Presidency are executed. The only difference I can see is a possibility that more will be accomplished under a woman - they are excellent multitaskers and better judges of character than men are in general.

I don't see any pros or cons with a female for president that are different then a male. Unless that female is Hillary Clinton, Then I can come up with a list of a million cons, and 0 pros. But in general, there is no difference.

I agree with the first person. There aren't pros or cons necessarily. It just depends on WHO it is. Though there's a possibility that instances would play against her. Like if we were trying to talk to a country and the leader was sexist or some such thing.

But domestically, there's no pro or con on gender. Only on personality and political party.

Pros: A female of any species will protect their young and family-needless to say a female president would "most likely" start cleaning out our own house (USA) before trying to solve the rest of the world's problems. Like better health care, schooling, food production & inspections, care of elderly, wages, etc. the list goes on.
As for world leadership-NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A WOMAN-peace is formost in their minds but when it comes to protecting their young and family watch out.
Cons: Leaders of other nations may take a dim view of a woman president so she would have to be always proving herself to others- so what is new there?

The female candidates are going to be as diverse as the male ones. We can't make a judgement about any future candidates until we get to know her and her policies and beliefs.
It will be just like selecting a male president. We may get a good one, we may not.

If it's someone who is qualified, there are no pros and cons. It's a matter of finding someone to run. At this point, we have nobody.

It should have nothing to do with the president's gender or ethnicity, it is about their ability to perform the job.
