Think about who truly owns the problem. If it is you, do something about it. If it belongs to someone else, then you are off the hook.

Turn the G in Guilt for a G in Gratitude.... figure out what you are grateful for and focus on that instead. Figure out why you feel guilty....did you really do what the other person said you did, or are they just projecting their own anger and guilt?

I think Starla C has it right. But for me the problem is always figuring out what I own, and what others own. Usually, I try to get an outside perspective from more than one person as to how they see the situation.

It's hard for me to be objective when I'm in the middle of the situation.

I accept the part I am to blame, apologize for that part, and repent. As to the rest, I assertively reject it. Nobody can put you on a guilt trip or keep you on one without your permission.
