Why is everyone saying Pedro? If you're talking career, then it's Al Spalding by a mile:

Well, you can always list those pitchers who were a career 1 - 0 or something like that. But based on at least 200 decisions, it's Pedro Martinez with a career record of 206-92 (.691).

Whitey Ford with over 300 decisions was 236-136 for a 69.0%
Lefty Grove at 300-141 for 68.0% for pitchers with 300 or more wins.
Pedro Martinez with a 206-92 even with 2 more losses to reach 300 decisions will be at 68.6% just behind Whitey Ford

Single Season?
Career?
Active?
Progressive?
Or year-by-year by league?
Pedro Martinez is no higher than 2nd on any of these lists.
And winning percentage isn't wins compared to losses. It's wins / decisions. The second set of links is to basic baseball information, such as definitions of different and calculations for different types of stats.

You should restate your question based on a certain amount of decisions. The answer to your question the way it is right now is 1.000. There has to be a handful of players who just came up for a cup of coffee & left the league with a career record of 1-0. I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but just reword it & you'll get some good answers.

Roy face in 1959 - 18 and 1. That is one heck of a season!
BTW Cy young won 511 games out of 827 decisions. That is a 61.79%. That is awsome!

I'm not sure exactly. My guess is Pedro Martinez being that he has over 200 wins and less than 100 losses.
