I'm not getting gas just so I feel like I'm sticking it to the man, but I'll have to fill up tomorrow, ho hum.

I went ahead and got my 20 dollars today 'cause I didn't want to sit in line all day tomorrow. :) I am afraid that the 'gas out' is for naught.

I filled up my tank on Sunday, so I will not need gas for a while.

The May 15th gas out will not achieve the intended effect. The only way to stick it to Big Oil is to reduce long term consumption of gasoline. It does not help to not buy gas today if you are going to buy it tomorrow.

I stopped at every gas station from home to work and got a gallon of gas TODAY!

Then on the way back home I stopped and got a dime's worth from each station AGAIN TODAY!

There is NOTHING that a GAS OUT today will do.
Even if you feel you are "sticking it to the man"...

I know a better way to "stick it to the man"....

I filled up yesterday, just by chance.

The one day "gas out" won't work. People just buy more gas the next day.

Buying and using one fewer tankful of gas a month would have a genuine impact, if enough people did it.

i won't fill up today either - or tomorrow.

i'm driving less, and when i do, i go at a more reasonable speed - that gives me a couple of extra miles per gallon.

i also tend to accelerate more slowly and brake more gradually - both will give a couple of extra miles per gallon.

i also make it a point to never use unnecessary lights and kept the heat lower this winter.

every time you switch off a light just pretend you are sticking your thumb in the saudis eyes - it helps...

Good, I made sure to fill up a couple of days ago since I had to drive 60 miles to/from school yesterday and didn't want to get gas today. Hooray to telling the oil companies to shove it!

I went today to get 26 gallons, I was ticked because other people were there. I thought they were going yesterday or tomorrow.

Seems to be going well here. Gas went UP to 3.49 in MI.

I'm going to fill up my SUV in about an hour.

Seriously.

Check out www.snopes.com for the gas boycott and learn how stupid things like this are.

Good for me. If everyone would drive only when they have to for a month it might do some good.
