How did you know that your carreer choice was the right one? Does it make you happy? If you could change your carreer right now, what would you do? Is this hard for everyone or just me? I am 19, have been out of high school since 2005, spent a semester in college then left cause I don't know what I want to do. Right now I am working as a claims processor. I make really good money, but I hate it. I can't handle staring at a computer all day. I am leaving to go on a backpacking trip through Europe next June and want to start life over when I get back and really figure out what options I have for carreers. Right now I am thinking Massage Therapy, but I don't know if it is the right choice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time for the help! :)

I might not be to much help. I am still in highschool, but I can tell you you really shouldn't have a job that you don't want to do unless it is absolutely necessary.(Like you really need the money to feed your family or something like that.) I know someone who is a massage therapist. He sets up his booths in hotel(Nice ones) and malls. All you need is to get a sports contracter to sign you as their massage therapist and you will be making the big buck and be doing something you want to do...

I hope that this helped and you find what your looking for.Have fun in Europe!!~*

You are very lucky to have the opportunity to take some time off and go to Europe. I think while you are there you will be able to get your mind cleared and make a decision about what to do. I went straight into the Air Force after high school and loved it. I was a crew chief on F-16 aircrafts. Unfortunately, I was injured in a car wreck in the line of duty and am disabled now at 33 years old. I had planned on making the Air Force my career. I never thought I'd end up like this. So my best advise is to do something you really enjoy with your life. You spend more time working than anything else, so you should do something that you enjoy and means something to you. You are very lucky to be just starting your life and to have so many options open to you. Explore the massage therapy field. I think that is a great thing to do and you would be helping people at the same time. Don't get too distressed over this. You are in a good place right now. Enjoy your trip and do some soul searching while you are there. I wish you the best and much happiness.

19 is usually the age for all the confusion so don't worry yourself too much ok. What you need to have in mind is that it is possible for people to change their careers as much as they can if the opportunities are available. The best thing that you need to do is think of a career as something that you would love to do for the rest of your life and enjoy it.It's good for you that you realize that money is not the answer so best wishes as you search for and try to discover your passion.

As you roll along in your life, you will have many experiences. Make the most of them, enjoy the journey.

Before making a career choice, make sure you know what the job entails and the employment and income opportunities.

Try an aptitude test. It may reveal ideas you would never have considered.

you just do it.. think of what you like and persue it.. you may not like it later but as long as you like it for the time being then you are doing things right.. you have a long life and you can have more then one carrer.. only 19 ..that means a long time ..many people switch carrers...

have fun and dont worry.. worrying only takes up time.. it never solves anything.. live on the spur of the moment and ENJOY..

-plus life isnt short.. its the longest thing anyone EVER does..

so there is plenty of time for everything
