The SAT 1 is a general test, while SAT IIs are more detailed subjects. I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.

The SAT II from what I understand is required by certian colleges and universities and it test a particular specialty or subject. Places like Harvard and Johns Hopkins University requires the SAT II.

You should only take this if you feel it's worth it. That is the school your desire requires it and your SAT I score is high enough for this college or univerity.
