Hell yes. Even if people stopped listening to them they will still live strong in the songs of tomorrow as it is already evident, quite a number of songs share very similar rythms and parts of lyrics which first appeared in the great songs of yesteryears... One more thing, as long as people like me, you and other oldies' lovers stick through to our music principles and take the effort of passing it down to the generations to come, no great song of the good ol' days will be completely forgotten.

I think some oldies will last, and others won't.
I definitely think we'll be hearing some of them forever.

I think it quite likely that many will continue to stand the test of time. Many of those songs have already made it through the change of several generations.
