Piggies should have food 24 hours per day. If they go for six hours without food, their gut and intestines begin to shut down (gut stasis). At 24 hours, they will be risking death.
All piggies should have at least 1/2 cup (per pig) of quality guinea pig pellets each day, one cup of fresh vegetables each day, clean drinking water (changed daily), and an unlimited supply of fresh, quality Timothy hay available at all times. I'm pretty sure with pigs and most other small pets, you leave food out for them 24/7.

I would usually fill their bowl in the morning and again in the evening. They eat whenever they feel like it but usually they're ready for re-fills twice a day.
