mashed patatoes and corn are grat with steaks and if u want to make it a little out of the ordinarry an spontanious then use asquirt or two of greek vinageret salad dressing on the steak well cooking it i love it that way it gives it a perfect taste a lil sweet i geuss ive took 3 years of cooking school an my head chef or master chef loved it too i got an a on my dish prep with it

Grilled steaks is so delicious with steamed rice and vegetable salad. Some red wine will perfect the meal.

I cut up potatoes into 4 wedges...use as many potatoes as you need. Boil them for 5 minutes....them rub them in olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and rosemary. Then grill them for about 20 minutes or until they are crispy. Corn-on-the-cob is also great on the grill.

What my mum used to serve as "Canadian casserole" - put thinly sliced potatoes and onions in alternate layers in a casserole dish, dotting butter and black pepper between the layers. Pour over a little milk, cover, and bake for a couple of hours in a low oven.

Marinate fresh mixed vegetable big pieces...eggplant, onion, asparugus, portabellos, even beets in olive oil and balsamic vinegar for 15 minutes...grill them with them...then grill fresh pineapple a minute on each side yummy!!!

i would do a nice sauce with the resin from the pan of the steak, splash of wine to deglaze the pan and a bit a beef stock (use a cube if you don't have the real thing) reduce till you hae a lovely tasty sauce sounds a lovely dish ttikki
