I am trying to get to Sacramento and was wondering if there is an alternative route.

You don't need an alternative route. 80 East from San Francisco to Sacramento is unaffected by the fire and collaspe.

The two ramps affected were 80 E to 580 E, and 80 W to 880 S.

The former will re-open by June 27th (at the latest). At a press conference, Gov. Schwarzenegger implied that it would be done much sooner than that.

And the latter has been repaired already (much to the relief of those heading to Oakland Airport).

If it is indeed closed you have 2 options. Drive through the city to and over the Golden Gate Bridge to the San Rafael Bridge and up to East 80 or go south and over either the San Mateo or Dumbarton to 880 north.

that would be 80 east. highway 80 going east or west to and from SF is not affected by the connector. Right now it only affects traffic coming from the east bay off 580/24.

however, see attached for status of the various roads in SF and alternates/detours.

Hi,
I don't think the East 80 was effected. Check with Cal-Trans.
It was the 24, South 80 to 880 only.
