From experience I would say about 85% divorced due to drugs and infidelity. Once burned, of course anyone would be a whole lot more hesitant to rush into another relationship where theres a 50/50 chance of a reccurance. It definitely makes one do more research befoe entering a long term relationship again. This is also probably why many divorcees wait several years before getting remarried. Also TV is a huge factor in our society when it comes to this

My parents divorced when i was about a year old bc my dad wouldnt stop drinking. So, after months of my mom telling him she wouldnt leave if he didnt stop, she did. I still saw my dad a lot, bc he loved me even tho he wouldnt stop drinking. Finally one day about a year 1/2 after they divorced he told her he wouldnt drink again. And he never did. My mom was lucky, bc not many guys really change. They didnt get re-married till i was about 7years old. But they were still together. I now have a problem bc my b/f of 2 & 1/2 yrs likes to drink. I hate it. Im scared he'll become what my dad almost was. So yeah ur child hood affects ur adult hood. But u have to realize, not all ppl are the same. Good luck!

I waited longer to get married because of my dad's cheating BUT I'm happy with the man I plan to spend the rest of my life with as are the rest of my siblings--well happy with their wives because I'm the only girl and they don't date men.
