There are two types of crime...overt violence...and white collar crime, where profits mean more than the wellbeing of other people. Unfortunately, we seem to have an abundance of both kinds. At times, the Corporate mavens seem to have no regard for the law, indulge in insider trading and hire lobbyists like Abramoff to spread a little corruption around. And the streets of the ghettos and elsewhere are unsafe for all citizens.
So you have crime among the Haves...and the Have Nots...and they feed off each other. The Have Nots see the affluence of the Haves and this leads to resentment and even more crime. The Haves blatantly flaunt their riches, with no regard for the law.
With this situation, it would seem that more police would be necessary. Instead, funding for police has been cut and departments are struggling to make ends meet. Social services have been slashed, which means that more crimes are caused by desperation in many areas of our country.
Some people talk about morality, and blame a lack of it for crime. They blame parents for not instilling morality in their children, blame schools for not adding Christianity to the curriculum. Yet, we have learned that...mouthing a love for God or not...corruption has multiplied among our leaders.
We are a diverse nation, with many different beliefs and with citizens from every culture in the world, with many different religious beliefs. It is important that we separate religion from our government, including our schools, to enable us all to freely believe as we wish.
But there is a distinct separation between religion and morality. Many non-religious people are moral, a majority of them, in fact, and the smartest thing we could do at the educational level is provide classes for children at the young age of three. There, they can be taught behavior and good citizenship. There they can learn the social skills needed to get along in the world.
This should be a governmental program and certainly Head Start has proven that it is most beneficial. It should be provided for all children at this early age, and the teachers should be highly qualified.
Only through education can you solve the problems of crime, especially when it is combined with a highly visible police force with adequate personnel. These police forces should be doubled in high crime areas, perhaps even tripled. I would certainly prefer my tax money going for this purpose rather than to finance a Bridge in Alaska or a teapot museum in the South.
There will always be criminals in any country. However, to cut police funding in a nation struggling with high crime statistics is ridiculous. We need to teach our young citizens respect for authority through the auspices of educational programs and we need to put those policemen on the streets. We need to use our power of voting to take out those leaders who line their own pockets at the expense of the people. They are, in reality, no better than the muggers on a city street.

Less water-downed laws for capital offenses. Stricter and swifter prison sentences. Higher payouts/rewards for neighborhood watch groups which stops a crime taking place. As for terrorism in the world, better economic and social opportunties, eradication of poverty, worldwide educational programs in cultures and societies as a whole. Give citizens options in their lives instead of deadend ones.

Terrorism is embedded as a crime...
There are many solutions to problems.. Some outlandish
scenarios are brought to mind...MAD or Mutual assured Destruction comes to mind.. If a terrorist strkes
a major US city.. Take out a city in their homeland.. No warning... Just announce it has been removed from the planet
as terrorist nest..
If Iran wants a bomb... Give them one free .. And ticking...
The world is too small... Democracy's are electing dictators controlling crucial natural resouces.. And capitalism is spreading with safeguards and rules... If the soup isn't mixed right... Our world will spiral out of control..

I spent years in college obtaining a degree to work with the justice system. 2 months prior to graduation I had a run in with a crooked judge. He was on dope when I got his courtroom and that is the best thing that I can say about the experience. (There is a Supreme Court Ruling to back this up). It's not my opinion. It's a fact.
I can only tell you that I personally have nothing but comtempt for cops/judges who seem to have lost the ability to be objective, maybe they never had it. I also live in Tennessee which is the test state for "Legalized Car Theft".
This is my term for it. A precident has already been set that if you have a tylenol outside the bottle in your car, the cops can confiscate your car for illegal drugs. I was sitting in the courtroom when the judge said it. I walked outside to my car and I had dropped a blood pressure pill onto the floor the day before. I quickly kicked it onto the ground because I can't afford to donate a car to the local police force. And I resent having to be afraid of them all the time.
I am generally a law abiding citizen, I speed 5-10 miles over the speed limit, occassionally. That's the extent of my criminal activity, but increasingly I find myself looking at anyone connected with the judcial system with contempt.
Prior to my experience with the doped up judge, I thought only guilty people went to jail. For a while my anger was direct at myself for being so naive. Now my anger is directed at the people who abuse that trust. Now if they can turn me 180 degrees with one incident I can only now begin to imagine what indignities the ghetto poor have had to endure for generations and how much anger they must have stored up by now.
I have told my kids that if police ever want to talk to them to stick their fingers in their ears and repeat "I need a lawyer". Before the incident I told my kids that the police were there to protect them.

terrorism =crime first of all and needs to be delt with as such, we need to look at it clearly and design specific goals, to really make a change for the future we need to reach the kids of the next generation, im sure u have heard this a million times on here but education is a key component to breaking the cycle, also we need parents to teach kids morals & virtues and the true value of human life it shouldnt be up to the school, we also need better leadership in the govt who are uncorrupt and have the needs and will of the people at heart , there are a ton of more ideas i have msg me if u want to hear more

Understanding the problem, which is:
BIOLOGY OF THE BEAST

The Shadows – Secret Lives in Our Midst
By Dr. Stefan Grossmann, www.gallerize.com
Is it true that they are different? Does it make sense to put them in a group of their own named the evil human life form?
Bible informs us that the evil beings are the Beast. This article presents, in short, a biology, a zoology of the Beast. We will see that their life activities include, without limitation, a selective socialization (including their common inbreeding) together with an obsession with Satanic rituals and symbols.

AMERICA'S REAL TERRORISTS!
AIPAC'S POWER BASE
http://www.etherzone.com/2004/lang090304.shtml
Our entire government is controlled by Israel! Through a small, rich, and powerful Jewish supported pro-Israeli tax-exempt lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or simply AIPAC, virtually all American domestic and foreign policy is now being controlled by a foreign government entanglement. This is done by targeting American politicians: those who are pro-Israel receive campaign funding and favorable publicity through a myriad of Jewish organizations, magnified by the liberal and Democratic Party-leaning American press; those politicians not favoring policies benefiting Israel are targeted by Jews all over America who send money to help finance that politician’s opponent.

our politicians are responsible for all war and terrorism. more expenditures on the lines of control of various countries, pumping in money for strengthening of their armed forces and nuclear infrastructure, this leads to misuse of money which can be used to make people more literate and remove the inequibrium in the financial state of people.
A person who is financially in doldrums will be most prone to induldge in crime and terrorsim.
so the only way to fight crime and terrorism is to deplete the poverty across the globe.
the root of the problem has to be adressed... a happy man will be content with himself..

with the money spent in blood spread , there could be a media based integral re-education , of those areas where the crime is generated , crime...is a gradual fact that starts when you learn to disrespect limits ,when you lack of education , information ,discipline and in certain cases love.
we cannot expect that with education...the terrorism or the gangs will just dissappear , the process for those things to be what they are today...took ...years and years ... to reverse that ...we need to reeducate the new generations ....intensely.

Legalize, regulate and tax Marijuana and maybe Cocaine in the United States.
Build a wall along the souther border of the United States - it is time to stop importing crime.
Deport all of the illegal aliens in our prisons (after the wall is built).
We should have a foreign policy of non-intervention - "Walk Softly, but carry a big stick."
Bring all of our troops home from overseas - Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, Japan, Korea - just to name a few - let the concentrate on protecting the border and ports of the United States.
