I need to get one and I heard the system is not good.

At the moment vista is the new OS out and they are trying to make it popular so that ppl get upgraded to vista so most laptops will come with vista.
Id recommend u to get the machine with vista if u are purchasing a new machine. Vista is a good OS and will be really good in the long run. Indeed it does have some bugs right now but XP also had bugs and glitches at the start....thats y they had to bring out SP 1 and SP 2. But vista will be a really good operating system and if u get it now then it will be good for u becuz by the next 1 yr time u will be a lot more familiar with vista by the time others will jsut be upgrading. so i would say go for a vista machine if ure buying a new one.
but anyways if u still want XP then u can get dell laptops with XP . they have an option . reply and tell me if u want me send u the link to get XP machines from dell.

You can still get laptops with XP. Go to a site like Tiger Direct or ZipZoomFly and see what they have left.
All of the new "off the shelf" machines will have Vista. Which, by the way, works just fine. Sure there is a learning curve, but all new operating systems have that. XP was a real head ache when it first hit the world. Buy Vista, take a little time to learn it, and you won't be dissapointed.

Because when a new windows comes out they put that program onto all the laptop and notebook.
Vista isn't bad its good you can have a lot of cool thing.
If you get Vista ultimate you can have moving background that are awesome.

If you do not need vista just format and install xp version.
