What are your pros and cons on the expansion?

Did the expansion make you quit WoW, play less, or do you remain as active as ever?

I was disappointed in the expansion. The user interface was changed in a way that made the majority of my mods and hotkeys unusable. The new content does little more than make you farm for months to get one crafted item and then they make the item worthless one patch after you finally get it.

I had not been playing very long before the expansion came out, so I'm not able to accurately judge. I made a character of each new race. Since none of my characters were even level 25 when I got the game, the end game changes had little effect on me.

I can understand the theory of some people's disappointment. Some of my friends have been playing for a while. They talk about how nobody ever goes to certain instances now.

I'm not really dissappointed. I did feel a little downtrodden when it first came out and I was in my low 60s because I was replacing epics that I worked long and hard for hand over fist for green quest rewards. Now that I have a few characters at 70 and have been able to play around with the new races I feel that B.C. is a huge improvement. Yeah the old dungeons will no longer be run over and over again but people in my guild and on my server still run old raid instances for the challenge and social factor of it. It might be easier to fill a 10 man Kara raid but that means more people that want to go get left out. This is the main problem I'm facing with my guild at the moment.

I had stopped playing WOW for about 6 months before BC and then started again about 3 months after it came out and have since quit again. I found the content quite pleasing, though I more enjoyed exploring then anything else. But the constant grinding for mats for flasks and raiding make it tedious and a very boring. I have no interest in constantly working to get some item that at the time seems to be the end all be all only to have it made obsolete before I even get it. Not to mention that constantly having to get keyed or attuned for the various instances makes grinding through the 30 chain quests to even get to be able to get to that instance more of a grinding horror story. Sure your high level guildies can help, but who has the time when your having to farm for the mats for raiding items?!

I was somewhat dissappointed. By making BC they doomed all of their old end game content. Why would a lv 58 bother running Strat or Scholo when the beginning outland gear is better than anything you would get in there. They should lower all the levels of the old endgame dungeons by like 5, or make it required that you run them to get to outland. The new races were cool but other than that BC was somewhat dissapointing.

I'm even more addicted than I was. :)

There's so much stuff to do now that you don't make any real progress unless you play constantly. The only thing I hate now is that I have to farm 1000 Primal Fire (it takes an hour just to get 1 or 2) to make gear that will make me worthy of a raid spot just to get more gear so I can qualify for more raids.

I'm only answering this 'cause I'm waiting for the patch to Download, lol.

The expansion came out very soon after I joined, as I am a newer player, so I guess I stay as active as ever.

Hi,

There is a guide about the game, that is very useful. This is a must have if you own the game.

There is a review about it on a blog:
