9/11 was tragic, but I don't believe that it was the worst tragedy because there is a lot to compare it to. There is also slavery, the civil war, pearl harbour, including both world wars, the depression, Hurricane Katrina, and many others. I think the person should be allowed to speak their mind just like you are and you are just giving their question more attention. She is right in saying that a lot of other countries have had things much worse than us. But whatever, you can have your own opinion on the subject at least I respect your right maybe you should do the same to others whether you agree or not.

Who are you children? You are a CHILD, a ******* child.
First of all, why would you start a riot against her? Second of all, how about some understanding? 9/11 may be the worst tragedy in the history of the U.S., but that isn't what she was talking about. She was referencing the fact that many tragedies have occurred around the world in the past century that haven't garnered as much attention as 9/11. For example:
-Srebrenica (an entire town of Bosnian Muslims murdered)
-the Holocaust (6 million, Jews, homosexuals, other non-whites killed)
-Rwandan genocide of the 1990s - 1,000,000 killed in just one week, by machetes.
-Current conflict in Darfur.
What makes you the specialist?

Stop being mean. She's just saying that there are other things just as bad at 9/11. I agree that 9/11 is the worst thing in US History. But looking at world history, there were worse things. Don't riot.

She didn't say 9/11 wasn't the worst thing that ever happened in the history of the United States. She said it wasn't the worst thing to happen in the world. Ultimately she may agree with you on U.S. history, which would put her in contrast to me. Don't get me wrong, 9/11 was a horrible tragedy, but Pearl Harbor was as bad as 9/11, and slavery and the extermination of Native Americans were worse. I think you have an obtuse view on history.

It is the most tragic in recent history. If you look back over the entire history of the country, the death tolls don't even come close to those who died in the Civil War, for example. But it's defenitly a huge tragedy, even in the broad spectrum since so many innocent people lost their lives.

I think it was a big tragedy. A lot of people were affected and still are. Two wrongs don't make a right. But we have a right to get angry and feel hate towards them. There are other tragedy's that affected Americans also. But 911 is one of them. :( I still think about it. I live in new york..

It was a tragedy.
But there is no reason to start a riot against a person who just stated their opinion!
