Elder Scrolls:Morrowind for PC keeps Freezing why?

Everytime i try to exit the game my PC freezes. Eveything works perfect until i want to save and exit. Also when i try to load my saved game my PC freezes. Whats the point of playing if I have to start a new game eveytime i play, because the save file wont load and the pc freezes when i try to exit. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Now My computer is stuck. I did a hard reset and it wont boot up. It just says on the Windows XP loading screen. I think i broke it. This suxxxxx.

For the most part (with any game) a problem with a freeze or hard-lock with a game is related to drivers and/or incompatible hardware.

I'd read the website for the game, check the forums and see if anyone else has has the same issues. See what they've done to fix it. It may be something as simple as updating the drivers for your video card or the directX version.

Possibly you have a corrupt installation and need to reinstall, or might have a bad sector on your hard drive. There's a process to narrow this down, but I'd start with the forums first.

There is also a compatibility issue with Saigen Gaming keyboards and the drivers not allowing games to start up and also the infrared receptor (USB) for the microsoft media version of XP interrupting the processing for some games also.

If nothing else, check to see if your video card is supported by the game (check the box, check the readfile in the game directory on your hard drive for more updated information) and see if there's a patch for the game available.

Hopefully one of those will fix it.
