omg are you talking about the '95 film 'A Little Princess' starring Liesel Matthews as Sara Crewe?...if so, i looooove that movie!!! it's my absolute fave! i love it so much i've watched it about a billion times and have the movied on dvd and vhs tee-hee. i loved it so much that i decided i wanted the locket she wore and looked around for it last year, and turns out when the vhs came out back in '96 i think, the version of Sara's locket included with the video so i begged my older sister to buy it for me online and the locket is the greatest thing ever!
sorry if i sound overly excited but i really love that movie. it's very beautiful and makes me cry everytime. i can practically recite the movie :)...it's the best movie!

I LOVE that movie!! But it depends on which version you are talking about. I love the 1995 version with Liesel Matthews (who goes on to play Harrison Ford's daughter in Air Force One -- another favorite of mine) and Liam Cunningham (he's quite cute for a dad). It's so magical. I read the book once a long time ago.
P.S. The little girl who plays Becky (Vanessa Lee Chester) goes on to play Jeff Goldblum's daughter in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Another favorite.

I've seen both the original with Shirley Temple and the updated version. The newer one is one of my absolute favorites. I'm a grown woman, and I still adore it! It's just one of those magical films that gives you hope and makes you feel like a kid again. I know it scene for scene, but I never seem to get tired of it. "I am a princess, all girls are!"

Incredible movie. The scenery especially. Over the top grand when it needed, but then drab when things took a turn for the worse. Just gorgeous.

I have seen both versions of the movie (with Shirley Temple and the newer version) and I think they are both great! They both have a good meaning to them!

I love this movie, I watch it all the time with my daughter. I recommend it to everyone, it's a great movie for all ages. The Secret Garden is another great movie that goes unseen.
