One time, in my past, my ex wife got in a furious rage because I finally stood up to her controlling nature , on something that involved a place our 13 year old daughter wanted to go. I said absolutely no, that she was just way too young to go to an unsupervised party at her friends place, ans some of the ones going were known drinkers. When I looked in my ex-wife's face and said " NO WAY " !, she threw a hot cup of tea in my face and said with the eyes of satan , " I HATE YOU". I knew she meant it, and that was the beginning of the end. Why live with someone who hates you. But, I wasn't the one who left, it was her, leaving the two girls with me for a year and a half to look after and work shift work at a 24 hr /day pulp mill. So, we need to be careful what we say in anger, because quite often it's something deep down we really mean.
