A Monopoly on energy would occur. They would charge the world any price they wanted for oil without competition. Which would lead to a greater separation of classes. The greater the separation of classes, the more warfare occurs. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Most in the Arab countries are socially very-very-very rich or very-very poor. Yes, there's a huge separation of classes. This separation of classes is what is causing war. The goal should be for "Peace."

Respect for and development of human life require peace. Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is "the tranquillity of order." Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity.

Without this peace, the Middle East countries will continue to spread hate and war.

Arab countries will never unify. The different beliefs between the countries would cause wide spread suffering similiar to that occurring in Iraq today.

They are not trying to develop even individually.

Aside from Emirates (Dubai and such), arab countries just pump oil out of the ground, and trade it for luxury goods.

I also do not see how Arab countries could you unite, given the shia/sunni split, pride and abuses of power of ruling elites, different views on role of religion in society.
