Well, we found our rabbit's mutilated remains slung across our fence today. I didnt get to see it, but my mother says she found dark green 'globule' looking things inside. She wanted me to ask what they might be- any ideas? (Believe me, I feel just as wierd asking this question as you all do reading it! XD) There's nothing on google, so we're stumped...

The color probably comes from hemoglobin in the blood. I don't know this as a fact, but i see this all the time in dead animals, so here's my logic: When a living mammal is deprived of oxygen, their tissues become cyanotic which causes unpigmented tissues take on a bluish-green tint. When an animal dies, most of the internal organs, and expecially the digestive tract, become cyanotic for several hours after death, until the hemoglobins start to decompose.

The digestive tract of rabbits has numerous bulges that loosely resemble a chain of large pearls. These bulges contain bacteria which break down plant tissues into soluble nutrients. Where these bulges are located, the intestine walls contain a very high concentration of capillaries which enable the rabbit to absorb nutrients freed up by the bacteria. When the rabbit dies, the blood in the capillaries becomes deprived of oxygen, and the bulges appear as shiny, bluish-green blobs.

Could be feces. A rabbit's metabolic system, among other things, is geared to preserve moisture. One of the way's it does that is by reabsorbing moisture from its intestinal "contents". That's why they poop relatively dry pellets. What your seeing may be what it looks like pre-de-hydrated.
