Yau really deserved to win, and the fact that Dreamz didn't keep his word cost him the game, which I find really low.
Yau always did his very best, and made one strong alliance and was ALWAYS faithful to Earl, never once did he betray him, which I think that right there, is very honorable. Yau told Earl that he would take him to final 3 and I truly believe he would have, cause he would keep his word to Earl.
I feel like he really got cheated on this game because nobody else worked harder...but I guess that's life.

Deserving? Not sure about that. I was torn between Yau and Earl. If Yau couldn't win I was glad that Earl did. They were my favorites. Yau did have a lot of class and honor during the game. Even at the end, Yau showed class by telling Dreamz to keep the truck and not feel bad about it. I think Yau had one of the best attitudes I have seen in the game. Earl showed the same class and honor. I can understand why earl voted for Yau and he was truthful about it. He knew he couldnt win against Yau. Smart move but classy at same time. I do wish he would have gave Yau a truck with his million though...lol.
As for Dreamz? He is the one that will have to face his child and tell why he went back on his word. It is hard to teach children good ethical values when the parent doesn't show them consistently themselves.
Yau and Earl both rock!!!

No.
Yau-man was the only reason Earl lasted as long as he did.
Yau-man won several competitions and at 54 years old.
Earl and Cassandra just road his coat tails.
As for Dreamz he is more like Jenna than Susan. Lisi was like Susan. I thought they would kill her at the last counsel meeting when she went "eeny meeny miney moe". But he did lack character and for a lousy 2,000 dollars. Yau-man gave him a car. Earl and Cassandra gave him nothing. He should have renegotiated. That was dumb. It also looked racist.
Oh well, what is done is done, and if karma is anything know that Dreamz gave the truck to charity probably because he didn't know you have to pay taxes on the 50,000 car + tax title and license after the show is over, so it all works out in the end.

Yau-man should had won Survivor and if he was in the final three he would had (6 of the 9 people that were on the jury raised their hands when Jeff asked who would had voted for Yau-man.) Dreamz should not have sworn to God he would keep his promise. As any Survivor fan knows, no one is 100% honest in this game.
I loved how Alex (the attorney) told Cassandra to answer his question and not beat around the bush. His attorney mode kicked in. I wouldn't mind having him for my attorney if I ever need one.

you asked about Earl, then attacked Dreamz. while i agree with you about Dreamz, it doesnt address your original question, which was questioning Earl's merit.
if anyone deserved it, OTHER than Yau-Man, it was Earl. He was a good guy, and in the end, was honest enough to admit that if he kept Yau around, he'd have lost. period. So i can't fault him for making that vote. Yau deserved it, but Earl was a deserving winner this year. it happened a few seasons ago with Terry, the Pilot. best guy ever to play the game, lost in the finals. the best seldom wins in this game.

He must have been because he outwitted, outplayed and outlasted. Yauman won the truck. Evidently giving it away doesn't remove the curse. He who wins the vehicle does not win Idol. So the idiot should have known he wasn't going to win and should have been happy with the truck. And, Dreamz should have known that by accepting the deal he couldn't win either. He blew it every way you look at it. By accepting the cursed truck, by going back on his word, you name it. He blew his last 2 plays. He as the third wheel (aptly named since he was the new owner of the truck) really chose the sole survivor. By keeping his word he would be choosing Yauman as sole survivor. And by breaking his word he chose Earl. I think a part of him knew this and by breaking his word with Yau he was honoring his alliance with Earl.

I think Yau was a harder player, but that doesn't always matter in survivor. I was glad to see earl win. He played hard and was honest, so he deserved it more than Dreamz or Cassandra.

I forgot to watch the finally was busy doing other things...sure hope my friends tivo recorded it.......I did not watch every episode.....but what I did see was that Yau-Man played the game better then anyone I have seen in the past.....and he did it without all the back-stabbing you usually see. I also remember them showing Dreamz saying what example would he be showing his kids if he did not keep his end of the bargain with Yau-Man.....So the whole world saw what type of person he is.

Yau-man (I forget how he spells it) should win. He is smart, adapts well with whomever he is playing with, knows when to keep his mouth shut but when he does talk he actually has something worthwhile to say, and he is excelling in the challenges. For 2nd place... I am rooting for Cassandra to continue to play it smart and possibly win herself a spot in the final 4, and hopefully in the final 2. Personally, if Yau-man is one of the 2, I don;t think anyone else can really beat him.

Earl was not more deserving than Yau, but he was the most deserving of those last three, by far. I look forward to seeing Yau on the next Survivor All stars, if they have one.....
