I have a boyfriend who can read my mind. Seriously. He always knows what I'm thinking and what I'm about to say. He reads a lot and meditates and I don't know how, but he can read people's mind and I don't care for it too much and was wondering if anyone knew how to block someone from reading your mind? I know it sounds dumb but I'm dead serious and don't know where to go for help so if someone knows please PLEASE help me!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes I ask him to name a number from one to a million and he always gets it right. Maybe he is just really good but sometimes I'm not showing any outward signs and he still knows. I don't mind being clse to him or be in a serious relationship, it's just when I try to surprise him, he lready knows and it's hard to surprise him.

"The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who ever knows what you're thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God—except that he not only knows what he's thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us." ~1 Corinthians 2:10-13 (The Message)
Know that it is "impossible" for anyone to read your mind. Only God knows your heart, which is where your thoughts really are. Oh, and by the way... I'm bipolar too. Small world.

Honestly, he can't "read your mind" but he can know what you are thinking. It is possible for someone to know you well and can guess what you're thinking. But it's no more than guess work.
My guess is, is that he knows you really well. You are very predictable in his eyes. He can anticipate what you're next move is. He sounds like he can look at someones body language, the way they speak, and the way they think. Combining all of that, it seems like he can "read your mind", but he can't. He just knows you really well and can read body language of people well too.
If you want him to stop, tell him to. Or just start doing things that you wouldn't normally do. Change your daily pattern, Or anything like that.

My husband and several people in his family have a similar uncanny ability to know things before they happen. This ended up feeling like a curse instead of a gift - every time they'd try to explain themselves they'd get looked at like they were crazy. Every time they'd try to warn someone and it came true, they'd be accused and hated.
My husband eventually learned to turn it off.....basically ignore it so that now, he doesn't get those feelings or rarely does. But it took him decades.
As for your problem, I would say the only thing you could possibly try would be to change your nonverbal communications (you'd be amazed how this translates into our thoughts). Most good fortune tellers are actually extremely attuned to body language. It's what tells them everything. If b/f has a gift, you can't do anything to alter it other than physical changes.

He's not reading your mind, he knows you well. He is watching your body language, and has probably very well analyzed how you think. He is able to see what you're looking at and deduce what you're probably thinking by these visual cues. If you don't like the fact that someone knows you that well, you're not ready for a serious relationship. I'd say break up with him and find someone who's just looking for a friend with benefits, if being that close to someone gets you that angry.

you could be soulmates. I am serious. Reading another person's mind is not just a skill, but a chemical reaction that somehow happens. Try reading his mind before he reads yours and see what happens... Quite interesting to hear the result :)

I agree! You need help!
Perhaps you could try one of these:

If it works for aliens......
What is he reading about you? Can't be much. LOL!
Okay, I'm done. Seriously:
Being bi polar would have nothing to do with this. This is a belief that you have. It is something that you choose to believe. He can not read your mind. If you really think he can, start concentrating on abstract thoughts when you are around him. See if he can read that you're thinking about a painting done by Andy Warhol or the law of relativity. If he can read something like that, get back to us. I may purchase my own tin hat!

I don't know the answer to this question, but butted in just so I can keep the question in my archives, star it and come back in a few days to see the opinions of each participant.
Good Luck!

Some people are very easy to read, and if he is a very clever guy he will tap into your insecurities in no time. he is not mind reading, he is playing mind games.

He obviously can read you really good because you probably are very transparent in giving off body signals and he is good in interpreting them. By the way are you Bi-polar?

Simple. Just clear you're mind of everything; or just the things you don't want them to know. Focus on something in the room, just stare at the object. Free you're mind of the daily things. Then they can't read, what you think! (Except for that object. :))
