Future of Indian Cricket looks ....looks almost dark.
At first coach.. the BCCI still looking for foreign coach although we have good ex-cricketers who can coach well enough.It is just the Politics or anything?
What's your view?
We do not have a future captain... A vice Captain should be future Captain but we do not have a consistent player as V-captain.So no planning.
There is no planning just talk ....talk ........
India has good players but BCCI is not looking at them.
W-Cup-2011..If India qualify for Semi-Final.. I would be amazed.

I strongly feel that with the rotation policy being talked about by Dilip Vengsarkar, things will change as new players will get a chance and if the process goes on India can build a strong bench strength.
As far as coach is concerned, coaching is a professional job. While there are many expert Indian cricketers are available in India, I do not know how successful they will be as far as coaching the Indian team is concerned.
I think it is high time now Indian Team groom a player to take up the captaincy in future. Yuvaraj Singh, Dinesh Karthik and Dhoni are good prospects for the captaincy.

Hey buddy,as long as the BCCI is at the helm of affairs we can do something better that watching our team play,man they are getting boring,BCCI is a joke,they drop and then bring back ganguly,they dont have the courage to drop Mr Tendulkar,they pick Dinesh Mongia in front of likes of Kaif and Raina,it doesn't matter if Zaheer Khan goes for over 5 an over and is not a wicket taker,cant drop him but can drop Irfan Pathan.An recently our great think tank was thinking of dropping Dhoni for Karthik-cant get more dumb than this.And our players like Sachin and Ganguly are still woried about there ads,man they are not playing for india,they are playing for themselves whereas team players like irfan and kaif and so on are nowhere in sight,what about balaji,nehra,where have they gone?

It's very dark b/coz the way it's going on. There is no planning to improve cricket except BCCI look for HOW TO GET MORE MONEY.
Many things are needed to improve.. but the first most important thing.. BCCI should run by ex-cricketers .

While Sunil Gavaskar can ba a good coach for Indian cricket team, he has already declined to take up the assignment of Coach.

You are right.BCCI should see the talent in the country and retired players from foreigners and make contract for foreigners.They should only not go to finals but win world-cup to get the aussiees down
