Amore in Seattle. I used to think my husband (who was a 'pizza chef' when he got started) made the best ... until I had a pizza at Sean's restaurant. The crust is 'paper thin' but holds the toppings, and the 'crust' is fat and 'just right chewy' around the edges. Amore is 'expensive' but this pizza is definitely 'worth it' ... it's at the corner of 5th and Bell in the 'Belltown' area ... YUM!

I've lived in 4 different states as an adult, and most places cannot make Italian food worth eating! The exception to this was when we lived in upstate NY - woo, good pizza there!
Once when we lived in AZ we went to this Italian food place and ordered my 4 yo daughter an adult-sized spaghetti, and didn't get enough to fill her up. She was not an excessive eater - they just didn't give much, and that was just pasta and sauce!!

I'll have to agree with the guy that said North Jersey. I had the best calzone ever at a place called Carmine's...I don't remember the town.
To the gal that said Houston: Where? I'm in Houston and would like to try it.
