I have had a recurring dream for about two years now. In my dream, I am required to return to military training (US Army AIT). In my dream, I am always treated with respect, almost as a mentor. This has been two years ago, and I graduated with honors. It was a good experience, so why do I keep dreaming about it at least two times a week?

I neglected to mention that I hate the idea of going back. It was a good experience, yes, but it is something I am glad to have out of the way. While I was there, I missed my family, and I missed having the liberty to come and go when I pleased. However, the advanced training was much better than basic training. Why then am I not having dreams about basic training?

Also, in my dream, the people there know that I have been there before, and I am not treated as someone who would be arriving there for the first time.

Recurring dream often means unresolved issues. In your case, if actually you got the honors two years ago and you still are dreaming about that.

That probably means that you missed the training or subconsciously you need more people to be aware of you abilities. Perhaps, in reality some people didn't get to know about it and you want to tel lthem and you projected the scene one more time to await the moment for people to recognized.

Another possibility, if you hear news about IRAQ war, that may also lurk into your subconscious mind and remind you of what you are related to it before as well.

It is obviously a time of accomplishment for you and perhaps you are searching for that same feeling in life now. Take a look at what you are currently doing and if it is satisfying to you. If not, this may be the time to look for something different. You obviously need to do something more meaningful, perhaps be a mentor to someone.

you don't say what your response to this dream is. is it a bad dream , a good dream , or just a dream. this info counts. if a good dream then i would say it has to do with an underlying desire to teach something to someone. if it's a bad one then i think you feel it possible you may be recalled. if it's just a dream then i think you like the dream and are lucky enough to have it back again and again..

I don't think its anything to worry about. Maybe its just stress bringing back memories??? do u want to go back to the army?? because if its what you really want, that will be why its happening!!!!!

a desire to relive a happier time in your life. Maybe you do not receive the respect now that you feel you deserve.
