1) Treat with Br2, then alc. KOH, then HBr in presence of peroxides.

2) treat the above with aq. KOH

3) Treat with Br2 and then aq. KOH

4) Treat the above with CH3Br in presence of NaNH2

5) Treat 3 with Zn

6) Treat 1 with alc. KOH
