I was thinking... could it be possible that this will happen?

The last time that they didn't reset the countdown clock in the hatch, it almost had that nuclear explosion thing that sent Desmond into that vortex in time right? But they've also said that when Des and that Dharma guy fought, they didn't reset the clock in time, and that caused the plane to go down in the beginning.

So what if this whole show is a rip in time like the one Des had? That they actually did die in the ocean, but are living in some time rip?

I have actually been thinking the same thing. It totally makes sense. It is like Donnie Darko where he is in an alternate rip in time and he actually died in reality. This past show I was actually thinking it was going to be EXACTLY like Donnie Darko when Ben had the bunny. I thought Jacob was going to be the rabbit and only "talk" to ben in hi6s mind. I cant wait for this weeks show! Is Locke dead??? I dont think so.

That's indeed a possibility! I'm so addicted to that show! I can't believe Locke got killed last show by Ben! Actually, I think he will heal!... He just can't die! He's too important to the show! It scares me that if Locke dies then maybe there is only one more season left. There seems to be too much to figure out before they end the show. I think with the reset on the clock it was more about preventing the magnetism of whatever was behind that wall from pulling planes and accidents to the island. Now anything can be pulled in, that gets near the island, like that helicopter in the last few shows. It seems sometimes like the island is Purgatory too. What's really crazy is that the one "other" that was an "other" when Ben was a child seems like he hasn't aged at all in 30 years! I just hope they do a good job finishing up the show. If it was a book, I'd have it read by now! I hope you enjoy the show! :)

That's a really interesting theory, I've never thought about that.

Another theory people are talking about is that they are living in between the real world and the afterlife. They can't pass into the afterlife until they come to terms with the situations and problems in thier lives.

I like the time rip theory, but I think FBYE was more of a vision/hallucination trip than him going back in time.
