So, the people at Crenshaw's I've talked to already said they knew of no such thing. I've already posted a craigslist ad, no help. Really, I mostly want to learn to use a pommel horse, so I could just buy one, but I'm on a bit of a budget and shipping alone on such a thing would be rediculous. Any ideas?

UofT at Austin has a men's gymnastics team, maybe you could ask their coach for a referal or ask him if he knows of any schools or classes in the area? you may even be able to hit him up for some instruction depending on what his time is like and if he does that sort of thing.

I found this place, not sure how close it is, but you could call them and ask about it...
Olympic Hills Gymnastics
266 Commercial Dr, Buda, TX 78610

or this one...
Flip Zone A
6001 Mountain Shadows Drive, Austin, TX 78735

ALso, maybe check your local community college. ours offers adult sports including ballet, golf, tennis, etc for beginners.

Good luck!!!

You can defiantly start your child in dance at her age. I started when I was 3 and I know many ppl that start when their 2. When they are that age the instructors don't expect them to memorize choreography or anything like that. They are just learning the fundamentals like where to step, and hand motions. If they perform, they will have an instructor performing with them so they can watch her. It's better to start them off at a young age anyway because they can get used to physical activity. Since I am not from California, I can't really help you on where to go...but if they let children here in Tennessee start at age 2, then they should in California too. You should try looking at places a little outside of Sacramento.
