I doubt you'll be able to cut your cost by much, if you've already made your purchase. But, I can tell you a few things that will help. But, it will cost you major bucks for upstart. I've even provided you with a link to KW, maybe you can find a couple of more ideas.

#1 APU -- It's a must ! You'll recover the cost of the unit within the first year alone.

#2 Open it up. In other words allow the engine to turn at factory spec. If it's yours that is. Many people disagree with this. But they work at a desk.

#3 Once you've opened it up. Cruise at about 60 mph. This will be where you gain the most. Even if you make other mods or not. This is where you start. Slow down!

Other items you can look into: An after market 3 stage module. It allows you to manually (at the flip of a switch) to control the output of the engine. For example: You can select from 3 differant HP settings between 400 & 600 HP depending on your engine size.

If you have a pre-2007 engine. Check into a new exhaust system. Allow that puppy to breathe.

Run synthetics throughout...engine and drive line.

You didn't tell us what size/brand of engine you had...not a good thing. Since some engines can't be improved on.

The large engines 600+ especially Cats and Detriots will tell you in the manual what to expect. To save you time, it tells you that you will get the same fuel economy at 55, as you do at 75. So an APU is about the only real mod you can make to save fuel.

An excellent set-up would have been a 550 hp, 13 speed, with a tall rear-end. 3.33 or higher
