You didn't say anything about your Computer speed , type or model of your computer but i assume that you had a latest PC model.

Try to do this steps.
1.) Check your drive to see if you have enough space. If in case this is almost full then delete the files that does not necessary.
2.) Scan your drive using AntiVirus program. This happens a lot if your PC is infected with a virus, it turns your computer runs very slow.
3.) Check also if you have enough RAM (Read Access Memory) . I got 512MB memory in my PC and it runs fast.

If your computer is slower than it once was chances are this is because of the number of programs you have running on your machine. The worst kind are those which are maliciously installed when browsing the web - these will slow down your computer a lot.

You should get a program called Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. They have a freeware version which I have used for years, and chances are it will find dozens (if not hundreds) of background programs running on your machine which are malicious in their intent. Use it to scrub that garbage away and see if that helps.

Alot of computer gaming and such activities can slow down your computer because it takes away alot of the memory. So uninstall the unused programs or just save all your important documents and reformat the computer.

Also run Spybot Search & Destroy, free and well respected. Also see if Microsoft has its antispy program available. If so download and install ( I know it no longer works for me since I use Windows 2000). I also like Moosoft, as the free trial does a great job on trojans.
