Had a VW beetle 30 mpg, killed it by hitting a rock on the freeway at 80 mph. Now have a Saturn 33 mpg. The VW was nicer.
Also have a Kawasaki Police that gets 55 mph. A ford Ranger 20 mph and a Dodge 2500 10 mph that rarely get driven.
I commute 120 mile a day.

It's none of your business. I don't make YOU pay for it. If you're going to use this logic, then I think we should make all fat people feel guilty about eating so much more than everyone else because the demand is higher and that raises the price of food. (Hey, supply and demand works!)
(By the way, I used to be really fat, and I'm still battling my weight, so it's not like I'm suggesting something that wouldn't affect me.)
AND, the oil companies, YES, are making "record profits," BUT it's NOT because they're gouging the price -- it's because WE, the gas consumers, are using record amounts of gas! Listen, if you sell, say, I.D. bracelets and you usually sell 1,000 per month for $2.00 each, and then all of a sudden the demand is higher (for whatever reason), and you sell 10,000 in one month, you're not making any more money on EACH ONE, BUT YOU'RE MAKING "RECORD PROFITS" BECAUSE YOU SOLD MORE!! So tired am I of explaining these things to people. Soooo very tired. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I drive Ford Explorer LS. It is not the best gas mileage, but not the worst either. I think I get about 20 miles a gallon. I would love to get 41 miles a gallon!! ;)

Nissan Titan. Not the best gas mileage, but it has the power I need and it will fare better than almost anything else on the road if there's an accident. I'll trade gas for power and to have my family wrapped in heavy metal.

Nidssan X-terra. Sold my four wheel drive Toytota Higlander last year and traded for this a two wheel drive. I need a truck. And do not need the four wheel any longer.
I get average gas mileage.

2003 Saturn Ion 1, 2.2L I 4 MTX.
32-36mpg city, 43 mpg highway.
Chum-no isses with them making record profits, but I dont think they need to receive tax rebates, tax breaks, and just direct grants out of the money I pay the gov't. If they were struggling it would be one thing-but theyre doing fine and raking in the federal dollar to keep doing it.

Since there won't be any gas, soon, I've got me a big mean, black, evil, Z-28. 310 horses, and still gets 25 mpg. and my girl friend, well, she just drives me insane, and enjoys the ride.
