Don`t even get me started!!

I have mixed emotions. Particularly those illegal immigrants who have children which are citizens. There needs to be some type of policy to deal with them. One thing to note is that I believe they have much more power than any of us (including them) realizes. If they were to have some type of leader or a national figure I think they could wield much more power.

Assume that they have this leader and he declares that unless certain demands are met THEY will leave. That's right the illegal immigrants will threaten to leave and go back to their country of origin!!! Now I'm sure many citizens and so called illegal immigrant proponents will be happy but stop and think about it. That's somewhere between 10-12million jobs that will leave as well. Many, many jobs. Companies would fall, industries would collapse.

I read a study in the Washington Post that said up to 75% of construction jobs were held by Hispanic/Latino immigrants. Though it could not be confirmed how many were here legally, you can pretty much assume that there were some illegally there. Who will pick the crops? Or work in the food services industry, or the aforementioned construction industry. Let’s be honest here, many times illegal immigrants are doing work that we citizens simply won't do. Where is the farm head going to find workers that will pick crops for 10hrs a day at $7.00/hr or less??? He won't and he'll be out of a business.

I just think that there will soon come a time where we all are going to look at the situation a little differently. Some call for ALL illegal immigrants to be deported, think of the economic outcomes of this. Perhaps illegal workers have more power than anyone has given them credit for.

Wow now wait a minute. These are two separate issues here: illegal immigration and working while claiming benefits. I don't think an illegal immigrant would be stupid enough to claim benefits while working because guess what they are illegal and that would be the best way to get them busted and deported. For the illegal immigrant that either engage in illegal activities (other than the mere fact of being here without paper) and/or take advantage of the system by claiming benefits they should be given no chance to stay in the host country.
As far as illegal immigration I think that great measures should be taken to regulate it and give illegal immigrants a chance. Most of them, genuinely wants to work hard to send a few bucks home or to make something of themselves.
Working while claiming benefits is appalling any blatant attempt to take advantage of the system like that should be punishable to the full extent of the law.
Now, don't get your stories mixed up as these are clearly two different issues.

You find me an illegal worker that is claiming benefits, and I've got some oceanfront property in Wyoming I will sell you. IF you find one, it will be someone who is paying for it themselves. Claiming benefits from their employer is a one-way street to getting busted and deported. Unless you are really aching to get a job picking tomatoes or cleaning some rich person's toilets, then I don't think this is even worth whining about.

the illegal workers are here to work.
the ones we need to worry about are the ones that are here legally.
see link below.
our services are already suffering a demand greater than it can provide or cope with.
our lives are set to become very strained as we all vy for the same rights as one another.
The Roma ( granted, some maybe very nice people but i'll await proof of that ) were the last people we wanted in our land, they have a long history of tying the Law & the system in knots.
roll on the I.D. cards & the DNA register,
it may make some run a mile & hopefully away from the UK.

if they are illeagl then they are illegal. they should not be working in this country, they should not be living in this country.

They are not citizens of this country therefore they should not receive anything from this country.. no NHS, no housing, no anything... except mebbe a free lift to their embassy.

If they have a genuine fear of persecution or need for Asylum then fine, they should not be discouraged or denied the help and support we would all like to receive if the tables were turned. but we shouldn't routinely give asylum to people whose fear of persecution is because they left their home country.... EG people who do things in this country which alientate their home, an example being the 'star' who appeared on Big brother and then succesfully claimed asylum because it was stated her actions on the TV program would mean she would suffer if returned to Zimbabwe, despite coming here on a nursing course and promptly dropping that.

Nor should we give asylum or any shelter to people who have comitted acts of violence or crimes in their own country (which would be regarded as crimes here) and seek asylum hear because they fear the consequences of their crimes. examples of that are the Afghan plane hijackers

Want to get rid of illegal workers? Fine anyone that rents to an illegal worker, fine anyone that hires an undocumented worker. But it won't happen because big business wants cheap labor.

Leeching parasites. That includes any Brits who are working and claiming dole. Why should I work, pay taxes and only draw one income just to keep them in cheap beer and fags.

I do not agree with it. Especially people who work whilst claiming benefits. I do not see why us honest people should work our arses off to pay our mortgages and debts whilst others get it all handed to them on a plate!

I would not give them a thing. They would have to go back where they came from for an aspirin. Do it right or don’t do it – this is not a relational issue – it is cut and dried – go home.

Well i am trying to work legally, it is taking a long time and costing a lot of money. Taking what is not yours to take is unfair and lazy. You are stealing
