Microsoft offers free download of a Windows XP Image Resize Powertoy on their website. PowerToys are utilities Microsoft programmers created while working on Windows. This powertoy lets you resize a photo in seconds with a simple right click
Steps

1. Download the image resizer powertoy. Go to the Microsoft page in external links (below). Click on the download link along the right side of the page for Image Resizer.
2. Install image resizer. Double click on the .exe file and follow the prompts for installation.
3. Find an image you'd like to resize and right click on it.
4 Select Resize Pictures from the menu.
5Select a pixel size you would like to resize to from the menu. If you click the Advanced button, you can select a custom size. Enter a height and a width in pixels, and the utility will shrink the file to a size that fits the more restrictive of the two dimensions while keeping the image correctly proportioned.
6. Unless you select otherwise, the resized picture will be saved in a new file in the same folder on your hard drive.

Tips

* If you are resizing photos to upload to wikiHow, it is recommended that you make them no more than 450 pixels wide.

Warnings

* These utilities, offered free by Microsoft, are unsupported.

Or here is another method..........
If you are using windows, it is simple... u open the pictures in paint if you have windows then go to image at top then then click stretch/skew and change the first two percentages from 100% to something like 25% then save them.

To go to paint, at the bottom left of your monitor screen, click
Start>Programs>Accessories>Pai...

or
If you do not have a graphics/photo editing program you can download a FREE one from Serif. (I am using Photoplus 10 but they are giving away version 6 for FREE! I have a link on my web page shown below. You will need to register the program with Serif to use it but the software and registration are FREE and I highly recommend their programs (I've been using them since version 3.)

Do a search for IrfanView - it's a free download that will let you shrink pictures. I don't know if it will let you do them all at once, though.

Another free download to investigate is Picasa - I think it's from yahoo, but won't bet on it.
