I never buy gas from Exxon. They are the worst of the worst. In any case, if I don't buy gas today it will be because I didn't need it. The boycott, as is, is a waste of time. Even if EVERYONE participated, this has NO impact on the oil companies or gas stations, because it doesn't change how much gas they sell. All that happens is that people buy their gas a day earlier or a day later. If you really, really want to help lower gas prices, you have to STOP USING GAS. Period. If you are not willing to walk or take the bus more, then you are going to be wasting your time bothering to "boycott" by not buying gas. Changing the day you get gas makes no difference. Snopes.com covered this subject very well. The link is below.

You guys are fools. There is a finite amount of Gasoline out there.
Exxon, Mobil, BP and Conoco all sell their gas to independent and smaller stations across the nation. Boycotting their "stations" does nothing. Because, you are still purchasing their gasoline from all of the other companies that sell it.
Further, even if you were able to boycott a certain brand of gas completely, you drive their price down, making it more attractive to someone else to purchase whethere in your town, state, country or on the global market.
THE ONLY WAY TO HURT GASOLINE COMPANIES, IS TO NOT USE GASOLINE.

I don't have a problem with Exxon, but I won't buy at Citgo. I don't want my money supporting the Chavez regime.

I don't think we even have those stations here but I am boycotting gas and advocating that we do more. If we unite we can make a difference.
